It's a Kitten Shower! Just like a baby shower. But more fuzzy. You throw the party... we'll bring the kittens! (Maybe. We're not in control of when mama cats give birth).
  • 1: Invite us!

Let us know when and where you’re planning your party!

We have no control over when we’ll have kittens old enough to visit, or how busy our staff will be at any given moment… but if we can, we’d love to have one of our knowledgeable staff come by to tell your group about “Kitten Season”… and if we’ve got ‘em, we’ll even bring some snuggly kittens to visit your party guests!

(We can’t promise. Because cats don’t give birth on a schedule).

  • 2: Invite your crew!

Girl scout troop, bridge club, frat house, or just a gathering of your friends. Call, text, or have a little fun and send out baby shower invitations. Be sure to send along our “Baby Registry” wishlist - let everyone know the plan is to bring gifts to donate to the furry babies.

  • 3: Plan a party!

This part is allll up to you. We have some suggestions… baby shower decorations are fun.

Check out our party planning recommendations for kitten mockTAILS, snacks, and activities… and some info on why we’re doing this!

SOS! All hands on deck! Mama kitties’ bellies are swelling, and there are little fuzzballs on the way. An average unaltered female stray cat has two litters (or more!) of kittens every year. (We know. That’s a LOT).

A litter of kittens is only in a mama cat’s belly for two months. And a female cat can get pregnant as early as about six months old. Every spring and summer, we’re up to our necks in kittens!

Last year, we had 373 kittens between March and September. Yep, you read that right.

We need 2 things.

Thing 1: We want to empower you with knowledge so you know what to do when you find unattended kittens, and how to help us slow down how many kittens are born, so the adult cats already waiting for homes have their best chance. We’d also love to tell you about our foster program! Maybe you can care for some kittens short-term this summer? We have a crew of dedicated kitten-foster-parents - and we’d love more! We can’t do this alone.

Thing 2: SUPPLIES. Kittens eat a lot. Mostly, pretty please, we need kitten food - wet and dry - and all ages cat food for mamas and babies. There’s more - bottles, formula, heating pads, tiny toys and tiny carriers. We’re hoping you and your friends can gather us some donations!

What’s Kitten Season?

Gather gifts for the babies!

Buy the tiny warm fuzzies a present! You can download the list to print or email to your guests, or send them to our kitten wish list page, where you’ll also find links to our kitten lists on Chewy and Amazon.
