An Extraordinary Furr Ball. An Extraordinary Community. Thank You!
We set an ambitious goal of raising $300,000 at our 2026 Furr Ball. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, we raised approximately $400,000!
This was the most successful Furr Ball in Blue Mountain Humane Society's history, and we are overwhelmed with gratitude for everyone who made it possible.
The evening included some truly remarkable moments of generosity. The Murr Family supported Furr Ball with an extraordinary $50,000 premier presenting sponsorship, while an anonymous donor offered a $50,000 matching gift during our Raise Your Paw appeal.
And our community answered the challenge!
Raise Your Paw generated approximately $175,000, including the anonymous match and an additional $10,000 match from the Yam Foundation. Three extraordinary $10,000 paddle raises came from Amy Figgins, David and Miranda Yam, and Peg Callaway and Chris Culp. And as dozens of guests raised their paddles at the $1,000 level, the Yam Foundation spontaneously added another $5,000 match to its original $5,000 commitment!
The generosity continued during our live auction, where Chris Marley placed an incredible $13,000 winning bid on Five Dollar Ranch's Brewer for a Day experience. Chris and his wife, Erica, are longtime Furr Ball supporters and annual VIP table hosts, and Erica also serves on our Furr Ball Committee. We are deeply grateful for their continued commitment, and to Five Dollar Ranch for making this extraordinary auction experience possible.
But the success of Furr Ball wasn't defined by any single gift or moment. It was the collective generosity of hundreds of people who believe in the work of Blue Mountain Humane Society.
To our sponsors and auction donors: Thank you for sharing your resources, creativity and generosity to make this event possible.
To our guests, bidders and supporters: Whether you joined us in person, participated in our online auction or supported us from afar, thank you for being part of this remarkable achievement.
To our volunteers and Furr Ball Committee: Thank you for the countless hours spent planning, preparing, organizing and bringing this event to life. Your dedication made all the difference.
To our board and staff: Thank you for your commitment, enthusiasm and hard work, both at the event and behind the scenes.
And to our longtime supporters and those who joined the BMHS community for the first time this year, thank you for believing in our mission.
Your generosity makes our work possible
Furr Ball is one extraordinary evening, but the work it supports happens every day.
With an annual operating budget of approximately $1.7 million, BMHS depends on community generosity throughout the year to provide shelter, veterinary care, adoption services and assistance to pet families facing difficult circumstances.
The funds raised at Furr Ball provide essential operating support for that work, helping us care for animals in need, strengthen the bond between people and their pets, and support families when they need us most.
To everyone who made Furr Ball 2026 possible: Thank you for an unforgettable evening and an extraordinary demonstration of community generosity.
With heartfelt gratitude,
The Board, Staff and Volunteers of Blue Mountain Humane Society
