Getting Started

To get started, complete the volunteer application to be added to our volunteer system. To begin volunteering, you must attend a general orientation where you will learn about our volunteer opportunities, along with shelter safety, protocols, and expectations. After completing the general orientation, you will have access through the volunteer platform to sign up for opportunity-specific orientations, including Dog Walking, Laundry, and Cat Care.

Adult volunteers have a wide range of opportunities to get involved, from hands-on animal care and dog walking to supporting adoptions, events, and daily shelter operations. Roles vary in responsibility and training, allowing volunteers to contribute in ways that match their interests, skills, and comfort level.
